Astanga Hrdayam (Sutrasthana) Evam Maulik Siddhant (Fundamental Principles of Ayurveda) – English The book is not only translated but in the form of notes, it tries to explain the principles in common man’s language. The author has also given the gist of the verse and some more information wherever there is a need. The author took the help of the Sanskrit commentary of Hemadri in most of the cases and occasionally of Arunadatta’s commentary. Though this translation is faithful to the text, the author took some freedom, wherever the context is not clear, taking help from the commentary. The author has tried to present the underlying context only in a legible language. Difficult words and poetic language are particularly avoided so as to make the text understandable by all. This book will help the students, practitioners and teachers of Ayurveda.
