About the Book
This book “Ram’s Text book of Prasuti Tantra (Obstetrics)” is meant mainly for the under graduate / Post graduate students of Ayurveda stream, but a few chapters may be also useful to students of other streams like Unani and Homeopathy and modern medical science. The book is divided in total twelve chapters.
First three chapters cover the – Introduction of Stree Roga and Prasuti Tantra, Female Anatomy and Physiology.
Chapters 4 to 7 related to pregnancy included GarbhaVignyana, GarbhiniVignyana, Garbhavyapada and GarbhiniVyapada,
Chapter 8 and 9 described the Labor (Prasava) and labor related problems (Prasavavyapada).
Chapter 10 and 11 are related to Puerperium (Sutika) and Lactation (Dhatri and Stanya).
Chapters 12 Obstetric emergency and critical care is also included for completion of this book by which the book may be helpful to student of modern medicine, Homeopathy and Unani medicine also.
The technique of procedures is described as stepwise and presentation of different pathogenesis in a chart and comparative presentation with modern medical science with Ayurvedic concepts is a specialty of this book.
About the Author
Dr. Ram Veer Sharma, B.A.M. S. M.D. (Ayu- P.T. & S.R.) Born in a Brahmin farmer Pt. Ram Naresh Sharma family in 1960 at Uganpura, Bah, Agra (U.P.).
The Author got a brilliant education career as Primary and Secondary education from Bah, I. Sc. From Damodar Inter College Holipura Agra. B.A.M. S. from Bala Hanuman Ayurvedic Medical College LodraMehasana (N.G.) in 1983 and M.D. Ayu. (P.T. & S.R.) From I.P.G.T. & R. Jam Nagar in 1988.
