The ninth edition of this well known and popular book has undergone a major revision. The contents now go beyond the present syllabus of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists to allow flexibility for the individual requirements of physiotherapy schools. New sections have been added on pain, tranacutaneous nerve stimulation, pulsed electromagnetic energy, biofeedback and iontophoresis. All of the other sections have been revised in line with the most recent advances and attention has been given where possible to current health and safety legislation. There are references at the end of each section. More photographs have been included to illustrate techniques.
This new edition of Clayton’s Electrotherapy will continue and enhance its reputation as the standard text for the Electrotherapy part of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists’ examinations. While remaining indispensable for students of physiotherapy, Clayton’s is also invaluable to clinical physiotherapists, especially those involved in teaching or wishing to update their knowledge.
