Dr. S.Vijayamalar RN, RM, MSc, Ph.D. is currently Professor and Head of the Department of community Health Nursing, Smt. Nagarathnamma College of Nursing, Bangalore, Karnataka India, formally Dean Controller of examination at Acharya Institution, IQAC Core member, IQAC Coordinator, Head of the Department of Community health Nursing at Acharya Institutes, Bangalore, She started her carrier as B.sc Nursing from Sri Ramakrishna Institutes of Nursing, Tamilnadu 1995. After that she pursed Masters in Community Health Nursing from Vivekananda institutes Tamil Nadu 2006 and Ph. D in Nursing. Her academic career is supported by a solid research background, where she has engaged in numerous studies aimed at improving public health outcomes and nursing interventions in community settings. Her research interests focus on community health initiatives, preventive healthcare, and nursing interventions that address the healthcare needs of diverse populations. She served as a resource person in National and International seminar, Conference and Work shop and organized Conference, seminar and workshop at State, National, International level she has the credit of various national and international publication and,Trainer of trainer, GFATM at Indian Nursing council she has the credit of Continuing Nursing Educational Programme at UNICEF and got 2 Research grants from RGUHS Project and awarded with Best faculty ,Best mentor, Best researcher of the Institutions and Proposed Research Grants to ICMR and also Indo Srilankan Research Collaboration and Accessor of German Training Programme In addition to her academic and research roles, Dr. Vijaymalar has been an advocate for integrating community health principles into nursing curricula, promoting health awareness in underserved areas, and empowering nurses to take active roles in public health. Her contributions to the field are not only shaping education but also contributing to the overall improvement of community health outcomes.
